Ruthven Barracks

Less than 1 mile from the Highland Town of Kingussie
and just 12 miles south of Aviemore in the Heart of the 
Cairngorms National Park.  Overlooking Ruthven Barracks, Bird Reserve
and the famous "Insh Marshes" RSPB Bird Reserve

A very scenic location with panoramic views of the surrounding mountains. 
Guests enjoy the lovely walk into Kingussie of a summer evening, crossing the River Spey
 just 400m away, and continuing past the infamous "Kingussie Shinty Pitch"

The small town of Kingussie was used extensively for filming  the BBC TV Series
 'Monarch of the Glen' and has interesting shops, bars and restaurants
